The New York Attorney General’s Office says the trooper involved will not face charges, ruling the use of deadly force was justified. Investigators say the 18-year-old suspect threatened his mother with scissors and lunged at her before the trooper opened fire during the September 2025 incident.In Steuben County, a major economic development project is moving forward. Railway manufacturer GHH-BONATRANS plans to invest up to 93 million dollars to build its first North American facility in Wayland.
